We all have a happy place. You know the one - that place you go that makes a good day great and a bad day better. You go there when you need a pick-me-up, when you have something awesome to celebrate, and maybe even when you’re procrastinating doing something else (that can’t just be me, right?).
Maybe it’s your local gym, bookstore of coffee shop. Maybe it’s your favourite trail where you take your dogs for walks. Maybe it’s the beach. You get the idea. (My happy places are anywhere I’m photographing pets in Ottawa, Red Door Provisions, and La Catrina Churros.)
If your dog likes other dogs, you NEED to take them to Ruff House because I bet that it will soon become one of their favourite happy places.
The Ruff House is a dog’s wonderland. Located in a huge facility on Industrial Ave near Train yards, they offer dog daycare, grooming, training, and a retail store with high quality food and products.
The Ruff House is a huge playground for dogs, and a one-stop shop for their parents.
They make your dog look and feel amazing, and they make life easier for you.
DOG DAYCARE
We call it daycare, but dogs probably call it “OH MY GOD YAY I GET TO PLAY WITH ALL MY FRIENDS AGAIN!”. Ruff House has 4 separate play areas for dogs of different sizes and personality types. Some play areas are decked out with obstacles like ramps and tubes – kind of like a skate park but for doggos. They also have quiet rooms for dogs who need to take a break, and possibly a snooze.
Sending your dog to daycare is a great way to keep them occupied and entertained while you handle your daily responsibilities (work, errands, self-care, etc.). Dogs that go to Ruff House come home dog tired after all the playtime and exercise at day care, which is super helpful if you have a dog that tends to get destructive when they’re bored (raise your hand if your baseboards have fallen victim to a bored dog ????)
SAFETY
The Ruff House is trusted for making dogs’ safety their top priority. Here are some of the ways they keep doggos safe:
TRAINING
The Ruff House offers a whole bunch of different training classes, from puppy school to agility classes. They use positive reinforcement training methods, which teach you how to build trust with your dog and help them make good choices. You can join a group class or take some private lessons if your doggo is more of a lone wolf.
GROOMING
Whether it’s a quick nail trim or a full groom, the Ruff House has got you covered.
RETAIL STORE
The Ruff House also has a large retail store where you can buy all the food, treats, chews and toys that your dog asks for. They carry high quality raw and dry food, and are happy to help guide you towards the best options for your furry best friend based on budget and your dog’s needs.
As dog parents, we all know that a tired dog is a happy dog. And a happy dog is a good dog that won’t chew through your favourite pair of shoes, or bark endlessly while you try to get something done. Sending your dog to daycare keeps your dog active and mentally stimulated, and it means you won’t feel guilty leaving them home all day.
Plus, the Ruff House saves you time. You can drop your pup off at daycare, have them groomed while they’re there so they come home lookin’ spiffy, and grab some high-quality dog food when you go to pick them up.
And BAM! Just like that, you’ve knocked all of the dog-related items off your to-do list in no time. How’s that for a life hack?
